Eiseman Construction Eiseman failed on every level. If I could post 0 stars I would have.

We hired Eiseman Construction to put a cedar roof on the house and install new gutters and downspouts. Since Eiseman is a member of the Cedar Shake and Shingle Bureau (CSSB), I thought that this company would follow the Bureau standards and guidelines. Not the case. Eiseman sent the roofers that did not know how to build a cedar shake roof. Not one thing was done to CSSB specifications.

The expensive copper flashing that we paid for looks like I did it myself. And the flashing on all three chimneys leaked. The roof itself also leaked. The specs say two nails per shake through the lathing. Eiseman took a nail gun and blew dozens of nails through the shake missing the lathing completely allowing for water infiltration. Our roof leaked so badly is damaged that the ceiling of the floor below the attic was damaged. Eiseman never addressed my complaint about that. They never even apologized for the damage or offered to fix it. So we had to add that to our expenses.
They left a mess for us to clean up in our house. We asked them to come back and clean up the debris, they never did. We ended up cleaning it all up- 3 large trashcans full of stone, wood, nails, dust and dirt.

In the end, the job was so bad that Eiseman ended up agreeing to rip off the cedar roof and replace it with typical asphalt over plywood roof and fix the flashing. I have to commend them there, where some contractors would have walked away they at least redid the job and refunded our money for the carpentry and gutter work that we did NOT want them to do after the roof nightmare. That said, we ended up having to clean out the attic a second time too and the flashing still leaks. And to add one last insult they refunded our money only after DOUBLE CHARGING us on two items. I complained about that but to no avail. We gave up we just wanted to be done with this shady company.
